Francis joined PMC Legal in October 2021 as a legal and compliance specialist with over 15 years experience in financial services across a number of regulatory, private practice and in-house roles.
Commercially and operationally driven, Francis is passionate about the implementation of legal advice with always a keen eye on not only resolving legal and regulatory issues for his clients, but in taking a holistic approach in developing processes and procedures for their ongoing compliance and governance needs – often whilst assisting clients in setting up a new business or bringing products and services to market.
Fresh from a stint as a Senior Legal Counsel and Investment Product Specialist at a global fund manager where he managed the legal and product streams on a number of strategic projects – including fund launches and restructuring, systems migration, regulatory change and disclosure, Francis has also been a trusted advisor for boutique investment managers, IDPS platforms, fintechs and financial advisory practices.
In previous roles, Francis was a Senior Lawyer with Minter Ellison where he advised investment managers, banks, custodians, corporate trustees, responsible entities and superannuation funds on a range of transactional, regulatory, licensing and governance matters. In addition, he spent four excellent years with ASIC where he honed his expertise in regulated transactions, licensing and financial services policy.
Outside of work, Francis has established a mildly successful side gig as a photographer, with his principal clients being his two beautiful children and his local community.
