Catherine joined PMC Legal in 2021. Catherine is an experienced funds management, financial services lawyer and governance professional. She has held a range of in-house legal and non-legal roles within the financial services industry (from large financial services institutions to boutiques and fintechs) providing legal and strategic advice to Boards and management.
Catherine’s experience includes providing legal, risk and compliance advice to Boards and management on product, distribution (including platforms and wraps), custody, disclosure and investment management arrangements. This also includes assisting financial services business on their licensing establishment or needs, remediation and day to day operational processes from a governance and compliance perspective.
In addition to her legal qualifications, she is also a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Governance Institute of Australia.
With this breadth of experience, Catherine is well known for being a trusted adviser to financial services organisations, translating business strategies into operational processes and procedures, and implementing change.
Outside of work, Catherine is passionate about developing the next generation. She has participated in a number of mentorship programs (most current being the HSBC Women in Finance Mentoring) and is currently volunteering as company secretary for Kids Giving Back – a not for profit organisation.
