Belinda is a corporate and funds lawyer and joined PMC Legal in 2021.
With over 15 years’ experience working in both private practice and as senior in-house counsel, Belinda is skilled at breaking down complex legal matters and delivering responsive, practical and user-friendly advice. This enables her clients to act quickly and efficiently, whether this means capitalising on opportunities or managing challenges.
Belinda has extensive and varied experience, including in private mergers and acquisitions (for both listed and unlisted entities), regulated superannuation / pension fund mergers, fund structuring and operations (including venture capital, private equity and registered and unregistered schemes), business restructures, joint ventures and shareholder arrangements, regulatory, compliance and governance matters and other corporate and commercial transactions.
Prior to joining PMC Legal, Belinda held positions as a senior associate in the mergers and acquisitions / funds and structured transactions teams at Baker McKenzie (where she worked alongside current PMC Legal colleagues Paula, Pip, Shehani and Justin) and then as a senior lawyer within the Investments Legal team at Sunsuper Pty Ltd (one of Australia’s leading superannuation (pension) funds). As in-house counsel Belinda provided legal advice and support on local and international direct and indirect investments across a variety of investment classes. Belinda also advised on environmental, social and governance (ESG) and other compliance matters, as well as negotiating investment management agreements, custody arrangements, brokerage agreements, account openings and market participation and other service provider arrangements.
Belinda builds strong and effective relationships with her clients based on her deep understanding of what clients need from their external legal advisers.
